This last few years as an organization we have been reducing the number of honey bee hives we tend, coming back into focus on the Healing Garden on the 100 block of the DTES and the work of Holding Ground.

We created our Community Supported Apiculture (CSA) mode in 2023, in which we offered 100 shares at $100 each, available spring/summer, for fulfillment in fall/winter, each containing a share of our year's work. We ran this CSA in 2024, again with 100 shares sold

Our 2023 Season shares included x2 honey jars, x1 propolis salve, x 1 votive beeswax candle, x1 story sharing booklet colour printed, x1 seed pack, x1 letter sharing the impact of shareholder support.

Our 2024 Season shares included x1 honey jars, x1 propolis salve, x 1 votive beeswax candle, x3 tea light candles, x1 whimsical fantasy candle, and our Recipes for Care booklet containing offerings from our two years of Seasonal Feasts (2023, 2024) at the Healing Garden.

Each year, we distributed an additional 100 shares in the Downtown Eastside, in partnership with frontline and urban Indigenous organizations working in practices of care and solidarity with land, food and community.

Our work continues to evolve, our understandings of balance within ourselves, in relationship with honey bees, and interconnected with the ecosystems we are all a part of.
